This is a critical reflection by High on her work Embracing Animal, which was an exhibit which involved the care and interaction of three rats who had previously been used for scientific experimentation. In her essay, High considers the question of becoming, the animal gaze and the bio-political interventions that performance can attain in its engagement with the animal. - LOURDES OROZCO
