An excellent examination of our symbolic, scientific, social, economic, legal and medical relationships with chickens from ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome through to contemporary 21st century. This is a brilliant example of how Cultural Studies informs Human-Animal Studies and vice versa. - ANNIE POTTS
